Piece of Luck.

We moved into this house in December of 2003. The whole time we've been here we've needed a decent dining room set. We bought an inexpensive (read: cheap) set when we first bought the house. We thought it would do but it didn't take us very long to figure out what a crappy, uncomfortable set it was. If you ever asked us what the worst purchase we ever made was, that would be our answer.

Since then we've been keeping an eye out for a decent, comfortable set that wouldn't put us in the poor house.

Then, last week Eric discovered a set for a really good price. We could buy as many or as few chairs as we wanted at $50 a piece. The table was a steal at $170. So, Friday night Eric and a friend went to pick the set up for us. He put it all together only to find that one of the six chairs was missing the seat. Saturday morning he headed back to get the missing cushion only to discover that the whole set had gone on sale Saturday morning along with matching cabinets shelves, coffee and end tables, etc. He came back home with the $100 that the store refunded to him and the cushion. We celebrated our good luck by buying a cabinet, a shelf, a coffee table and 2 end tables.

Yay!! It was a happy day as we unloaded furniture that we never really liked in the first place.

Now my living/dining room has a whole new look.

What good luck! We should have bought a lottery ticket too.

Don't those streaks of luck feel good. It's a good day when that happens. Congrats to you and may you have many good family meals at that table to enjoy your new dining experience.

Have fun "christening" the new furniture. May the lucky streak continue.

It's great when things happen like this... unfortunately they never happen to me lol but I'm happy when they happen for other people.

Reminds me of a song for some reason.
Some Butterflys have all the luck
Some HB2s have all the pain..
